Arsenal and Middlesbrough played out a 1-1 draw when the two met at Highbury on Wednesday 8 March 1950 in a midweek round of Division 1 fixtures played between FA Cup ties.
The Gunners could be forgiven for maybe giving the cup more of their attention than the league as they went on to beat Liverpool 2-0 in the 1950 FA Cup Final.
