Arsenal and Middlesbrough shared the points in a 1-1 draw during their midweek Division 1 clash at Highbury on Wednesday, 8 March 1950.
Tucked right between crucial FA Cup ties, the Gunners might have had their minds elsewhere—a distraction that proved entirely justified, as they famously went on to defeat Liverpool 2-0 to lift the 1950 FA Cup trophy.
