The breeding of canaries was long an important part of life in Norwich. That is why Norwich play in their famous yellow and green colours and indeed why they are known as the Canaries by their fans.

In the club’s very early days, Norwich wore blue and white home kits but it wasn’t long until their started playing in yellow and green.
