Danny Clapton opened the scoring before Derek Tapscott added a second to seal the win.

The match featured Arsenal stalwarts Jack Kelsey and Cliff Holton, while Chelsea’s lineup included Reg Matthews and Frank Blunstone in front of 22,526 fans.
