England slipped to a 3–2 defeat against Austria in a Wembley friendly on 20 October 1965, their final loss before winning the 1966 World Cup.
Bobby Charlton scored early and John Connelly restored the lead after Rudi Flögel’s equaliser, but Toni Fritsch struck twice late on to seal Austria’s win.
The match featured Barry Bridges’ last cap and Bobby Moore’s 16th outing as captain.
This is a genuine matchday programme from the England defeat which remains in good condition with some signs of age but no major flaws, team changes or other writing (except for the number four written on the front cover).
