Product Details

England drew 2–2 with Austria in a Wembley friendly on 28 November 1951 before a record 100,000 crowd in what was billed as the “Match of the Century.”

Ernst Melchior fired Austria ahead, but Alf Ramsey equalised from the spot with the first penalty ever scored at Wembley, and Nat Lofthouse headed England in front.

Ernst Stojaspal’s late penalty earned Austria a share of the spoils in a game that featured Arthur Milton’s only cap and Ivor Broadis’ debut.

This is a genuine matchday programme and ticket from the draw, both of which remain in good condition with the score and scorers written in the centre page and signs of age as pictured including rusty staples.
