Product Details

England defeated Uruguay 2–1 in a Wembley friendly on 6 May 1964, thanks to a brace from Johnny Byrne. Assisted by Terry Paine and Jimmy Greaves, Byrne’s goals came either side of half-time before Alberto Spencer pulled one back late on.

The match marked George Cohen’s debut, Bobby Charlton’s 50th cap, and Bobby Moore’s first time captaining England at Wembley.

This is a genuine matchday programme from the England win which remains in generally good condition although there is extensive writing and Tipp-Ex in the centre pages as pictured.
