23,000 fans made the trip to Wembley Stadium for the 1973 FA Trophy final.

Scarborough had one hand on the trophy before a 90th-minute John Rogers equaliser took the match to extra time.

Fortunately for the travelling Scarborough fans Malcolm Thompson popped up with a late goal of his own to win the FA Trophy for the first time in the club's history.
